The Last Dinner Party made quite the impression as they took to the Other Stage at Glastonbury Festival 2024. The group, fronted by Abigail Morris, were among the most anticipated bands performing at the huge event on Saturday (June 29).

The five-piece indie rock group, who made their Glastonbury debut, last year, released their debut album, Prelude To Ecstasy, earlier this year and it went straight to number one. It was the biggest number-one album debut by a band in almost nine years, according to the Official Charts Company.

It also comes after The Last Dinner Party were also named winner of the Brits Rising Star Award 2024 in December and then winner of BBC Radio 1’s Sound of 2024 in January.

But back to their set and the up-and-coming band drew large crowds to the Other Stage as they began their afternoon set at Glastonbury Festival.

The lead singer, Abigail Morris, wore a long floaty white dress and began the set with a rendition of Burn Alive from their debut album. They also performed Caesar On A TV Screen, The Feminine Urge and Beautiful Boy – which involved band member Emily Roberts playing the flute.

The Last Dinner Party went on to treat festival goers to an unreleased song called Second Best during their Glastonbury performance. Introducing the song, band member Emily Roberts said: "This song is about choosing to leave someone who treated you as second best."

And it appears they were firm hit with those watching and listening through BBC's various channels having not made it in-person to Worthy Farm in Somerset this year and even left them making a big prediction.
