Music icon Lulu will head to Glastonbury Festival for one last time after she confirmed she will retire from touring. The Scottish singer has been revealed as part of Glastonbury's Avalon Stage line-up, which also features some huge names.

Over the course of her career, the Scottish singer, immortalised by her ten top ten singles including the Take That duet 'Relight My Fire', has described performing at Worthy Farm as one of her most cherished experiences. The 75-year-old recently confirmed she will be retiring from performing after six decades in the industry will also be playing the festival as one of her last concerts.

The Mirror Online reports how while the line-up for the Pyramid, Other, West Holts, Woodsies and The Park had been announced, festival bosses have only just confirmed who will be taking to the Avalon and they are artists everybody should want to see. Taking to X, formerly Twitter, a new poster was teased revealing the line-up.

This year, former X Factor star Lucy Spraggan will be taking to the stage following the release of her single, Sober, featuring Robbie Williams. Former All Saints star Shaznay Lewis will also be appearing on the stage performing some of her solo tracks including Miracle and Kiss of Life.

Fans have since reacted to the news on X, with one writing: "One of most surprising areas of the festival, it’s a mini festival within a festival. @lspraggan is a good choice, saw her supporting @JamesBlunt last week." A second added: "That's a great lineup for Avalon." "I love Glastonbury for the fact that could be a full line up for a smaller festival and you'd be buzzing, yet at Glasto it's just one field in a sea of so many," wrote a third.

Other huge names who have already been announced include Cyndi Lauper, Paloma Faith, Jungle, Jessie Ware, The Streets, Bloc Party, Avril Lavigne, Disclosure, Faithless, Anne-Marie, Nia Archives, Sugababes, Gossip, Sampha, Peggy Gou and DJ and producer of the moment, Barry Can't Swim.

It was recently confirmed by Emily Eavis that the Acoustic Stage would feature Scouting For Girls, The Bootleg Beatles, the Red Hot Chilli Pipers and Australian singer-songwriter Angie McMahon on the Friday. While tickets are fully sold out for Glastonbury, five lucky people will receive a pair of tickets from a special box of Clipper tea, retailing at the Co-Op.
