Glastonbury Festival iconic performances channel launches tomorrow

A Glastonbury Festival channel featurring iconic past performances launches tomorrow. BBC iPlayer will begin playing the Classic Glastonbury channel on Monday, June 10, featuring old but gold performances by everyone from Elton John to Kylie Minogue.

Perfect for more nostalgic viewers, the channel will feature enlightening documentaries and compilations. Festival organiser Emily Eavis said: "We’re incredibly proud of our ongoing partnership with the BBC and always look forward to hearing about the exciting developments in their coverage each year.

"I’d like to thank Lorna Clarke, Alison Howe and their team for celebrating our festival so brilliantly and for sharing the special spirit of Glastonbury with an audience far beyond these fields."

This year will also see the unveiling of the Glastonbury II channel, which will play the 2024 festival's highlights from Friday, June 28. Another exciting channel is the Pyramid Stage- Signed, where viewers will get to watch stars like Dua Lipa, Coldplay, Keane, Cyndi Lauper, SZA, and Shania Twain.

If another stage is more your cup of tea, the BBC will also have a channel for the Other stage, West Holts, Woodsies and The Park.

The festival has announced a brand new venue. Terminal 1 is made from a 'a re-purposed airport celebrating migration'. The poster says that to be allowed in, British citizens must correctly answer a question from the UKGOV citizenship test.

The full BBC schedule for Glastonbury coverage will be announced on Wednesday, June 12. You must have a TV licence to watch BBC iPlayer.

Glastonbury Festival begins on Wednesday, June 26 and ends on Sunday, June 30.
