Glen Powell Stars in New Campaign for Brioni

Hot on the heels of a critically acclaimed turn in Richard Linklater’s festival entry Hit Man, Glen Powell is the new “It” man for Brioni.

Brioni — the luxury fashion house founded in Rome in 1945 by master tailor Nazareno Fonticoli and business partner Gaetano Savini — has tapped Powell to front a new campaign to promote its “bespoke experience.” Shot in Los Angeles by photographer Gregory Harris, the black-and-white images (and short film) feature Powell in a selection of bespoke fits styled to echo “the timelessness of Brioni’s tailoring and the depth of heritage attached to the house’s DNA.” Bespoke tailoring is offered by Brioni through appointment and the process typically takes four weeks after an initial measuring session.

Powell’s campaign comes after a series of high-profile outings for the veteran actor. He starred opposite Tom Cruise, Miles Teller, Jon Hamm, Monica Barbaro, Lewis Pullman, Jay Ellis and Danny Ramirez in the blockbuster Top Gun. He turned heads in Set it Up and Devotion but the reviews for his latest, Hit Man, have been some of the best of his career with many outlets calling it a star-making turn.

“A career-boosting, range-flaunting turn as a geeky academic who stumbles into doing a very specific kind of undercover work for the police: posing as, per the title, a hit man,” writes THR’s Leslie Felperin of the film, which Powell co-wrote with Linklater. Hit Man debuted in Venice before screening at the Toronto International Film Festival. Powell next stars in Twisters and Anyone But You opposite Sydney Sweeney. The Brioni campaign debuted this month on social media and in select digital outlets. See images of Powell in Brioni below.
