Glenn Close Rewears Ralph Lauren Suit from 2019 SAG Awards to Label's 2024 Show: See Her Sustainable Style Move!

The actress shared that she was going to "retire" the pantsuit to her "costume collection" following the brand's Fall/Holiday 2024 Runway Show

Glenn Close is all about sustainable fashion.

On April 29, the actress, 77, attended the Ralph Lauren Fall/Holiday 2024 Runway Show in New York City wearing the same all-white shimmering pantsuit that she sported at the 2019 SAG Awards, where she won the award for outstanding performance by a female actor in a leading role for The Wife.

Opening up about donning the flared fashion once again, Close shared in an Instagram video ahead of the show, “I’m very very proud to be re-wearing this suit that I wore five years ago at the SAG Awards. Beautiful, beautiful classic Ralph Lauren suit but this one happens to be covered with tiny Swarovski crystals."

“So I feel like a million bucks and I'm going to retire this suit to my costume collection after this," she added.

Close teamed her ensemble with a silver Ralph Lauren clutch bag and a pair of diamond stud earrings.

Close also revealed her sky-high silver platform heels in the video, explaining that she hadn’t worn high heels since her appearance at the 2022 Met Gala.

“So I’m on my way to this lovely Ralph Lauren event and I just have to say that I do not know how I’ll get down the red carpet in these shoes,” she said. “I haven’t worn shoes like this since the first time I went to the Met Ball and I had those really, really high Valentino pink platforms and I was in such pain after about 45 minutes that I thought I was gonna die."

“I haven’t worn shoes like this. Since then, I’ve been in sneakers and boots," she added. " So honestly I don't know how I'm going to get down the red carpet."

"Yikes!!!! Ouch!!!" Close captioned the Instagram Reel.

After successfully making her way inside the show, the Back in Action star posed alongside actress Jessica Chastain on the front row.

The duo held onto their matching silver Ralph Lauren clutch bags as they smiled for the snap, with Chastain, 47, wearing a diamante halter and flared black velvet pants.

Other stars in attendance at the show included Kerry Washington, Jodie Turner-Smith and Rebecca Hall.
