Gloucester Rugby transfer rumours latest: Explosive winger linked, scrum-half facing exit

Gloucester Rugby have set their sights on bringing in Newcastle Falcons wing sensation Adam Radwan when the flyer’s contract at Kingston Park expires, according to the latest reports.

While 26-year-old Radwan has just two England caps to his name, he is undoubtedly one of the most dangerous attacking backs in the Gallagher Premiership and despite playing in a poor Newcastle team who are yet to win a game this season, his explosive ability to beat people on the outside has seen him continue to score tries.

Despite the Cherry and Whites seemingly still in the market for a winger for next year, with Welsh star Louis Rees-Zammit leaving in January to pursue a career in the NFL and now veteran England winger Jonny May confirming he does not expect to be at Kingsholm next season, RugbyPass report any move for Radwan would be for the 2025/26 season.

Radwan is gearing up for a summer of playing sevens rugby in a bid to make the Great Britain team for the Olympics in Paris.

Ahead of the 2024/25 campaign, Gloucester have already secured the services of Christain Wade from Racing 92, but have continued to be linked with a series of other wingers having confirmed Alex Hearle will also depart for Newcastle, with the club reportedly missing out on former rugby league star Regan Grace to Bath having also failed to tempt giant England ace Joe Cokanasiga to switch sides in the West Country derby.

Meanwhile, GloucestershireLive understands there could well be a departure at scrum-half with the Cherry and Whites squad overstocked in that department heading into next season having secured the services of Welsh star Tomos Williams.

Director of rugby George Skivington is a big fan of former London Irish youngster Caolan Englefield, who also received a call-up to the England A squad back in February having side for the club back in the summer, so it appears either Italian international Stephen Varney or Charlie Chapman could move on despite potentially still being in contract.
