Good Morning Britain presenter, Kate Garraway, interrupted her co-host Adil Ray during Thursday's episode of the popular breakfast show.

Adil and his co-presenter were explaining to viewers that today's edition would not delve into politics as polling stations across the country were open for people to cast their votes in the General Election. In light of broadcasting rules, the pair informed audiences they would instead be providing useful details relating to voting and new instructions pertaining to voter identification.

Adil added: "By the way if you have just tuned in and you are wondering why we are not talking about the election. We are restricted because of the Ofcom broadcasting guidelines. We can't go into politics but we can bring you up to speed with the election process. If you are thinking of going to vote today, these are the things you have to take with you and the things you can't take with you."

Eager to have her say, Kate interjected: "Any questions really. We are going to bring our experts in later on to answer those questions after 8am. We also have an expert on the weather," reports the Mirror.

As attention turned to GMB weatherman Alex Beresford, Adil remarked: "Well I don't know about that."

The discussion then shifted towards what one should wear whilst attending their local polling station when Alex pointed out: "What is important is your polling outfit."

Both Adil and Kate were left baffled by this comment. Alex continued the conversation, asking: "What are you going to wear?" To which Kate responded: "That is interesting."

However, Adil chimed in with: "It's not a red carpet." He then directed his question at Alex: "Ok you're going to vote what would you wear?"

Alex revealed: "What would I wear? I want to wear something that makes me feel good."

Aldi instantly followed up with: "Ok like what?" Before Adil could finish his sentence, Kate interrupted and exclaimed: "Adil we are going to address this with our expert if you don't keep talking because otherwise we won't have time for the experts."

She then pointed to her ear piece and added: "That's what I've literally just been told by the producer."

Adil appeared taken aback as he said: "Fine.. fine." Recovering quickly, Kate turned to Alex and moved on: "Right the weather."
