Yahoo News Gogglebox star Daniel Lustig addresses reason for split with Stephen
Gogglebox star Daniel Lustig has addressed the reason for his split from husband Stephen Webb, the star admitting things "kind of petered off".
The two stars confirmed earlier this year that they were divorcing, and Daniel has elaborated further about their separation in a new interview.
“We had a really good innings," he told the My Dirty Laundry podcast. "It was really good for a really long time and then it kind of petered off, and then we kind of decided the best thing was to end as friends.

“We're work colleagues, and partners at work as well, and our basis of our relationship has always been friendship as well," Daniel added, confirming they separated 10 months ago though still live together.
The star said they still remain close, admitting that they "get on better now" than did when they were together. "I know for a lot of people they probably can't understand it, but it has worked out for us," he explained.
Reflecting further on their relationship, Daniel said they were "polar opposites" and "like chalk and cheese".

“I think it gets to the point where you get to a certain age and you realise, you know, that you are so different and your foundations are different," he continued.
“I think for us, it was just wise to separate. That's the reason I think. You've got to have the foundations in, haven't you? If your foundations are different, then you're a bit wobbly.”
The stars, who departed Gogglebox last year, said upon their divorce announcement that while they had chosen to "part ways", they "will forever be friends".

Earlier this month, Daniel spoke a bit about the split, telling OK!: "When we called time on it, yes it was very upsetting because when you get married and walk down the aisle you don’t think that’s ever going to happen, you can't think that, you have to think positively.
"We got to the point where we’d talked about the breakup, about why we were breaking up, how we were going to go through it, and how we were both feeling.
"When we both felt in a stable place and a bit more confident, and also there for each other, that’s when we put it out."
