Tonight's (November 10) instalment of Gogglebox saw the Malone family think up a tasty way to enhance watching cooking shows.

During an episode of The Great British Bake Off, the armchair critics watched as the bakers tackled a disastrous technical challenge during Dessert Week – leading Shaun Malone to come up with a unique idea called Taste-O-Vision.

"The problem with Bake off is like, obviously you see all this lovely looking food on the telly," he began. "But you just can't taste it."

"Mhmm," Julie replied, considering the idea, while his less-than-impressed dad Tom gave a bemused look.

"Wait for the future... forget flying cars and that... I want Taste-O-Vision," Shaun added, expanding on the idea. "[You] go up to your screen and just lick it."

Elsewhere, as the cast reacted to programmes such as Banged Up, Planet Earth III, The Curse of Robert the Doll and Culprits, Jenny was left confused when Lee asked about her "icks" (a term used to describe a sudden feeling of aversion or disgust created by someone's behaviour).

"What's your ick," Lee questioned his friend, adding: "You must have an ick."

"What's an ick? I don't know what you mean," a confused Jenny replied.

"Everybody's got an ick," Lee continued, as Jenny asked for examples. "Is it something you do?" she asked. However, when Lee finally explained the term as "something that gets on your nerves" Jenny was left unimpressed by the slang.

"Ohhh, well why don't you just say you've got something that you don't like or that irritates you," she fumed.

Gogglebox airs and streams on Friday nights at 9pm on Channel 4.
