Celebrity Gogglebox star Babatunde Aléshé has confirmed that he will be back for the next celebrity series of the show.

The star is well-known for appearing alongside fellow comedian Mo Gilligan on the Channel 4 show, and it seems they will return for more hilarious sofa-watching antics this summer.

Speaking to The Sun about his upcoming projects, Babatunde revealed: "I'm focusing on The Lateish Show with Mo Gilligan, doing that series. I'm back on Gogglebox as well, I'll be back in June, so we'll start filming again."

The star also spoke about the fun they have behind the scenes, revealing: "Sometimes with me and Mo we have to keep doing takes because we're always constantly making ourselves and the crew laugh."

However, Babatunde did admit that one genre he struggles to stomach on Gogglebox is horror movies.

"All the horror films, I don't like watching horrors – if you've seen my reactions when I watch horrors, I'm pooing my pants," he joked. "My sister made me watch Nightmare on Elm Street – from then it's left me with PTSD."

Meanwhile, former Celebrity Gogglebox star Sheila Hancock recently claimed that she hasn't been asked back to the series, suggesting it was because she was unhappy about being shown nudity on the show.

And main show regulars Giles and Mary have hinted that we could soon be seeing them from a new location.

Writing in their recently-published book Country Life: A Story of Peaks and Troughs, Mary suggested that the couple are mulling over whether to relocate to London, in order to be closer to friends and family.

Gogglebox airs and streams on Friday nights at 9pm on Channel 4.
