What is going on between CBB's Louis Walsh and Jedward?

While in the Celebrity Big Brother house, former X Factor judge Louis Walsh has held nothing back when sharing his opinions on both his fellow celebrity housemates, and the celebs he's worked with over his career. And last night's episode (12 March) was no exception, with Walsh calling Jedward "vile", and now the twins have responded.

During the episode Louis was talking to Coronation Street actor Colson Smith, who asked him what working with Jedward was like, to which Louis responded, "they were vile."

Colson followed up by saying, "They've done well." And Louis said in response, "I got £5million from them. I swear on my mother's life." He later added, "And they were vile. They were novelty. But great for the show."

And let's just say the twins were less than impressed with Louis' words. The pop duo happened to be having a roast dinner with TOWIE's Gemma Collins while the show was airing and took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to share their response to Louis' comments.

They first posted, "Louis Walsh is a cold hearted b**tard who didn’t even send us flowers when our mom died." The twins mum sadly passed away in February 2019.

They continued in a series of follow up posts critiquing Walsh, claiming the manager had "bitched" about them to their friend Tara Reid, which caused the twins to fire Walsh.

Jedward also added, "What an absolute weirdo with bad intentions for all ..does he like anyone?"

In their final post they said, "Louis reopened these wounds all by himself being spiteful and disrespectful we aren’t going to have our character taken. Justice will be served."

Cosmopolitan UK has contacted Walsh's representatives for comment.

Gemma Collins, who was having a roast dinner with Jedward at the time the episode was airing, took to Instagram to defend the twins, posting a picture of herself with them and saying, "Shocked to see what was said about my boys @jepicpics 🩵 They are the sweetest talented polite educated kind boys I’ve ever met hence why they are always in my company !!! TEAM JEDWARD."

She also took to her Instagram Stories to defend the boys more, speaking to camera and saying: "Louis, don’t be slagging off my boys. They’re not vile, they’re beautiful in every single way.

"I can’t believe we’re even watching you on the show, you’re like a cat with nine lives. How many times can you slag off your acts? It’s a disgrace.”

John and Edward, 32, aka Jedward, were 17 years old when they first appeared on the X Factor in 2009. They were mentored by Louis Walsh while on the show and were later represented by the talent manager after leaving the series.

They went onto appear on Celebrity Big Brother twice, first in 2011 and later in 2017, and have released four studio albums, represented Ireland at Eurovision and have had their own shows Jedward Let Loose, OMG! Jedward's Dream Factory and Jedward's Big Adventure. It's unclear when Jedward and Louis Walsh stopped working together.
