Will Owning Manhattan return for season 2? Netflix

If real estate reality TV is your thing, then you're in luck, as Netflix's latest release is Owning Manhattan, an eight-part series that sees Ryan Serhant and his agents at SERHANT take on Manhattan and attempt to sell luxury properties around the city. But is the show coming back for a second season?

Since season one dropped on Netflix last week (28th June), viewers have been loving the series with the show going straight into the top 10 around the world. From boujie apartments, to a dramatic firing, the show has it all.

So will it be back for season two? Here's what we know so far.

Has Owning Manhattan season 2 been confirmed?

As of yet there's been zero word from Netflix we'll be seeing Ryan Serhant and co return for a second season of Owning Manhattan. However, Netflix often waits a few weeks or months after a series' initial release to announce the next season, so hope is not lost yet!

And Ryan Serhant seems pretty confident we'll be seeing his agency back on screens again. Speaking to House Beautiful about the first season, Ryan hinted at another season being in the works.

"We have filmed some things that we weren't able to continue with by the time shooting ended,” Serhant explained. “[They] didn't make sense for season one. I think [they] are primed for season two and are intense, to say the least.”

Netflix are you hearing this? It seems Ryan is all set for season two.

Who could star in Owning Manhattan season 2?

If season two were to go ahead we'd expect the majority of the cast to return, including:

  • Ryan Serhant

  • Chloe Tucker Caine

  • Nile Lundgren

  • Tricia Lee

  • Jade Shenker

  • Jess Markowski

  • Jessica Taylor

  • Jordan Hurt

  • Jordan March

  • Savannah Gowarty

  • Jeffrey St Arromand

  • Genesis Suero

One cast member we don't expect to see back in a hurry however, is Jonathan Nørmølle, who Ryan fired at the end of season one, as he believed Jonathan's behaviour with clients was unprofessional.

And Ryan has since revealed to ET he hasn't spoken to Jonathan since he dramatically fired him on screen.

"I haven't spoken to Jonathan," Ryan told the publication. "When I let him go, we shot it all in real time. Like, real time, he ripped his microphone off, you know, stormed out and haven't really spoken to him since. ... But I don't burn bridges. If he has a buyer for one of our listings, or we have a buyer for one of his listings, I'd love to do a deal. You never know what the future could hold."

What could happen in Owning Manhattan season 2?

One of the big plot points of Owning Manhattan season one was Ryan's seriously impressive listing of the penthouse apartment that was on the market for $250million.

However, at the end of the season the property remained unsold and according to the listings online it's still available. So maybe a potential season two will see another attempt from the agents at selling the seriously boujie property.

Maybe they need to rope in Davina from Selling Sunset?
