Good Morning Britain's Kate Garraway was left apologising to Rob Rinder after she made an assumption about his appearance. During Friday's episode of the ITV show (May 17), one segment showed a photo of Rob, 45, graduating.

Looking at the snap, Kate, 57, remarked: "You haven't aged", before innocently asking him: "Have you always bleached your hair from when you were little?."

Looking rather confused, Rob replied: "Bleached my hair?". This spurred Kate on to continue the conversation as she queried: "Have you always been bleached blonde?", while Rob retorted: "You actually think I dye my hair?"

"I’m so sorry!" she exclaimed. "Is that true? You don't dye your hair? I always assumed you did? Are you naturally that blonde. Are you really blonde?" Kate continued while Charlotte Hawkins laughed uncontrollably.

"I don't know how to prove this to you in a way that's tolerable in the morning," Rob then exclaimed as Kate looked on awkwardly.

"Well, I'll tell you why I couldn't make small talk at a hairdresser could I?" Kate, laughed referring to a debate that was coming up later in the show.

GMB fans has since shared their amusement at the exchange between Rob and Kate that was also posted to the show's Instagram page.
