The Good Place’s Jameela Jamil pulled out of You audition
Jameela Jamil has come a long way since she presented T4, having acted in big hits like Marvel's She-Hulk and The Good Place, while also being a judge on the HBO Max competition Legendary.
But she could have added another big show to her CV with Netflix's You – only she pulled out of the audition that was scheduled.
Appearing on the Podcrushed podcast, hosted by the show's leading star Penn Badgley and co-presenters Nava Kavelin and Sophie Ansari, Jamil explained why she felt like she couldn't go through with it.

"I don't think I've ever been someone who would have enjoyed objectifying myself, personally. But that's also because I have so much deep, childhood sexual trauma stuff," she said.
"So I think that was never in the cards for me. You know, I still wear the little skirt or the busty top, but like, occasionally. But generally, I feel quite protective of myself in that way. Like, I don't do sex scenes."
"I was supposed to audition for the most recent season of your show," she said to Badgley. "My character was supposed to be quite sexy, and I pulled out of the audition, because I am so shy about anything sexy that I can't."

Referencing recent comments Badgley made about requesting to do fewer sex scenes on You, Jamil added: "And then you f***ing came out and was like, 'yeah, I’m not doing sex scenes anymore'.
"And I didn’t even know that was a boundary that we could draw. But then I was like, 'I should have gone and done the f***ing show.'"
Perhaps Jamil will land a role in the recently confirmed fifth season of You, which was announced to be the final run of episodes for the serial killer drama.
You seasons 1-4 are streaming on Netflix.
