Google’s new virtual reality app enables music fans to take a 360-degree tour of Abbey Road Studios.

The legendary North London recording studio has hosted a range of notable recording artists, perhaps most famously The Beatles.

The VR app has been designed to work with Google’s affordable Cardboard headset, along with a smartphone, to give viewers an idea of what goes on inside the famous music landmark.

The 360-degree tour is narrated by producer Giles Martin, son of the late Beatle’s producer George Martin.

The nine-part guided tour includes interesting facts about the studio’s history, going all the way back to when it first opened in 1931.

So far, the app is only available for Android handsets, but an iOS version for iPhones is in the works.

Last year, Google unleashed an interactive tour of the famous recording studio, but the new VR-based version is designed to be more immersive.
