‘Goosebumps’ Renewed for Season 2 at Disney+ as Anthology Series
“Goosebumps” has been renewed for a second season at Disney+.
The announcement was made during the Disney Branded Television presentation at the Television Critics Association winter press tour. As part of the announcement, it was also revealed that the second season would be eight episodes compared to the 10-episode first season, and that the show is going the anthology route. Thus, Season 2 will feature an entirely new cast and setting based on R.L. Stine’s iconic Scholastic book series.

Stine, and to collaborate once again with Sony Pictures Television, Scholastic Entertainment, and our fantastic creative team to bring an entirely new mystery to Disney+ for season two.”
The official description of Season 2 states, “teenage siblings discover a threat within their home, setting off a chain of events that unravel a profound mystery. As they delve into the unknown, the duo find themselves entangled in the story of five teenagers who mysteriously vanished in 1994.”
Season 1 of “Goosebumps” debuted in October 2023 on Disney+. Per Disney, the series premiere drew 4.2 million total views globally across Disney+ and Hulu in its first three days of availability. The cast for Season 1 included Ana Yi Puig, Miles McKenna, Will Price, Justin Long, Zack Morris, Isa Briones, and Rachael Harris.

Nicholas Stoller and Rob Letterman developed the series and serve as executive producers. Hilary Winston serves as executive producer and showrunner. Neal H. Moritz and Pavun Shetty of Original Film also executive produce along with Scholastic Entertainment’s Iole Lucchese and Caitlin Friedman, as well as Conor Welch and Erin O’Malley. Sony Pictures Television Studios produces the Disney Branded Television series. Original Film and Stoller are currently under TV overall deals with Sony.
Furthermore, Disney Branded TV announced Season 3 renewals for the animated Disney Junior series “SuperKitties” and “Pupstruction.”

“SuperKitties” is created and executive produced by Paula Rosenthal. Sarah Mullervy also executive produces along with Kirk Van Wormer and Audu Paden. Sony Pictures Television – Kids produces in association with Disney Junior.
Travis Braun is the creator and executive producer on “Pupstruction.” Victor Cook also executive produces, while Abigail Nesbitt serves as supervising director. Titmouse produces in association with Disney Junior.
