Gordon Ramsay's daughter Holly marks two years without alcohol after hitting 'rock bottom'

Gordon Ramsay's daughter Holly is celebrating two years of sobriety after hitting 'rock bottom'.

The 22-year-old posted a message on Instagram to mark the milestone, thanking all those who had supported her.

"Today marks two years since I last had alcohol," she said.

"Two years ago today I hit rock bottom, I was terrified.

"I certainly didn't think I would be where I am today both physically and mentally. I've fought every day since to get where I am today."

She went on: "I am so grateful to so many people for their support, encouragement and endless love.

"I will continue to learn and grow every day."

Holly also told her followers that she felt "lucky to be able to use my voice to raise awareness and break the stigma around mental health".

"Sending love to anyone who needs it today and always," she added. "One day at a time."

Holly previously told her fans in an Instagram Q & A that she felt a lot better without alcohol in her life.

Cutting it out made her "so much more present", she said.

"I'm able to have more fun and I'm in control," she added.

Fans and celebrity friends flocked to congratulate her after she posted about making the milestone.

Her sister Tilly posted a red heart emoji, as did Romeo Beckham.

"Congratulations for choosing the right path for you," said one fan. "It is never easy, but you are smashing it one day at a time."

Celebrity chef Ramsay has five children with his wife Tana.

As well as Holly, he is dad to Megan, 24, Holly's twin Jack, Tilly, 21 - who was a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing last year - and three-year-old Oscar.
