A woman is challenging anyone to find a better bargain after she hit the jackpot with her Too Good To Go bag.

Too Good To Go, an app that offers discounted food that would otherwise be wasted, has gained popularity in recent years. The catch is that users don't know what items they'll receive as it depends on the store's stock and which items are nearing their sell-by date.

TikTok user @ellarosezohra recently flaunted her enormous haul from Gail's, claiming it was so hefty that her "arm was aching" from carrying it. Ella shelled out £5 for the bag of assorted baked goods, ending up with items that would have set her back £37.80 if bought fresh that day.

While Too Good To Go bags often contain food that needs immediate consumption, Ella reported that all her items felt "really fresh". "I think I have just won the Too Good To Go lottery," she declared after picking up the bag from the Gail's in Neo Bankside, near South Bank in London.

Speaking on TikTok, she continued: "I was literally speechless in the Gail's store because of how much stuff they were putting in this bag. As I said, I opt for a Gail's Too Good To Go because I am on a quest to get a sourdough loaf and obviously Gail's is renowned for their breads.

"I have always really struggled to nab a Gail's Too Good To Go bag because they disappear [so quickly], but I somehow managed to snag one."

Ella's haul included a personal pick - a chocolate and almond croissant that "looks and feels incredible" - alongside two pots of blueberry yogurt, slices of carrot cake, lemon polenta cake, strawberry and ricotta cake, a blueberry and custard brioche, a cinnamon bun, and a loaf of sourdough bread. These treats typically cost between £4.20 and £5 each, but she snagged the lot for just £5.

"I cannot believe the number of pastries I got in this bag," she exclaimed. Ella mentioned that the prime time to secure your Gail's bag is roughly between 5pm and 6pm the day before.

Thrilled with the savvy shopping, one person commented: "So glad you've gotten your sourdough, such a lottery win considering everything else that came with it!" Another chimed in: "The Gail's Too Good To Go is the best!"
