Susanna Reid and Richard Madeley were among the first responding to the news that Grace Dent had quit I'm A Celebrity.
When discussing the early exit, Reid pointed out the simmering tension between Nigel Farage and "exhausted" Dent, saying: "Every time Nigel Farage was talking about politics she would walk away."
Food critic Dent, 50, quit the jungle show after just 10 days sending shockwaves around the showbiz circuit.
Social media was awash with concern for the food critic over the weekend, with some saying she looked “gaunt”.
What, how and why?
Reid shared her own concerns about Dent on Good Morning Britain, saying: "She looked exhausted."
She went on: "She looked like she wanted to be home, she wasn't up for the discussions, being voted for the trial was the last straw."
Madeley said the star looked "damned hungry" and he added: "Let’s hope she was tucking into a hearty breakfast."
The Good Morning Britain hosts had dialled into their Australian-based reporter Richard Arnold to discuss the latest from the I’m A Celebrity jungle.
Reid set out that Dent being voted to do the trial was the "final straw."
She said: "To be fair she had already warned she had enough. Last night she got voted to do the trial. It seems to be the final straw. What's happening?"
Arnold also highlighted the talk on social media about Dent looking unwell during her stint on the jungle show. He said: "There was a lot of speculation on the Twittersphere that she didn’t look too well. Her spirits seemed dampened compared to the other campmates. It does seem being voted for the next trial has broken the camel's back as it were."
The TV presenter hailed Dent for being a “sporting campmate”, however he said the jungle had become "too much for her".
He explained: "She has left on the basis of medical grounds... It's a private matter at the moment. More details may emerge."
Harold will now take Dent's place in the trial.
Arnold added: "It means Josie will face the trial but she will not be facing it alone. I can exclusively reveal Danielle was the third most voted so Danielle and Josie will take part in trial."
Because it's a medical matter, Arnold said: "We are not sure how well Grace is. Concern was sparked about how well she was looking. Duty of care there."
What else happened on I'm A Celebrity?
Fred Sirieix and Nigel Farage clashed again over Brexit in Sunday's episode.
Josie Gibson and Nella Rose sparked outrage when they said they were delighted the men were doing all of the gruelling tasks around camp.
I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here airs on ITV every night at 9pm (9:30pm on Saturdays).
