Grand Designs House of the Year 2022: Who won?

If you could design your dream home, what would it look like? And where would you want to build it? Well, you’ll find plenty of inspiration from RIBA House Of The Year contenders. From modern new builds and extensive restorations, to quirky and more traditional designs, these homes are pretty spectacular.

Established back in 2013, the RIBA House of the Year award – led by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) – is awarded to the best new house or house extension designed by an architect in the UK. And for 2022, that award has gone to The Red House by David Kohn Architects.

The shortlist and eventual winner of the RIBA House of the Year 2022 was revealed in the seventh series of Channel 4’s Grand Designs: House of the Year, hosted by Kevin McCould, with architect Damion Burrows, design expert Michelle Ogundehin and conservation architect Natasha Huq.
