Blackburn's Green Party General Election candidate Denise Morgan has made a last ditch plea for votes.

The former contestant on The Voice said on the eve of polling day: "I believe creative subjects should be viewed as essential components of education and be funded as such.

"I also want investment in grassroots music venues and musicians in Blackburn.

"Another important issue I am keen to address is the financial and practical support given to carers in Blackburn who care for their family members, including those who care for children and adults who will require lifelong care.

"I also want increased support and funding provided to children and adults in Blackburn with SEN, in educational, community, and domestic settings.

"I am vegan, passionate about the environment, and is an ardent supporter of animal rights and welfare."

To support his mother Ms Morgan's 13-year-old son Gabriel has also made a social media campaign video.

She is up against a crowded field in Blackburn, against Labour's Kate Hollern, Jamie McGowan of the Conservatives, Lib Dem Adam Waller-Slack, Reform UK's Tommy Temperley, Workers Party candidate Craig Murray, plus three independents - Adnan Hussain, Natasha Shah, and Altaf 'Tiger' Patel.
