Dr. Meredith Grey returned to our screens for the first time since February in this week's season 19 finale of Grey's Anatomy.
Rolling out across two parts, the latest episode saw a bunch of Grey Sloan Memorial doctors fly to Boston for the special Catherine Fox Award ceremony.
This included Nick Marsh and Winston Ndugu, who had the opportunity to reunite with their estranged partners, Meredith and Maggie Pierce.

It's been several months since Meredith and Nick last saw each other. The last time they spoke was on the phone, when Meredith, having boarded the plane to Boston with her kids, hung up on Nick when he told her that he loved her.
In emotional scenes in Boston, Meredith and Nick finally get the chance to talk.
"I did pretend not to hear you," Meredith admitted. "I was tired and scared and overwhelmed, and I know that sounds stupid, but I thought that what I should do in that moment was to focus on the children, so that's what I did... But I miss you."

Nick responded: "I never should have let you walk away and... I want to live a whole life with love and mess and pain and you."
The heart-to-heart conversation led to the pair sharing a kiss.
Meanwhile, Meredith, who has been working on a revolutionary cure for Alzheimer's disease, put her career and reputation at risk by going public with her contradictory findings.
Grey's fans were also left reeling by a shocking cliffhanger, as new hospital chief Dr. Teddy Altman finished the season finale on the surgery room floor unconscious, having complained about toothache earlier on.
The episode was a chapter-closer for showrunner Krista Vernoff, who previously announced that she'd be leaving the show and its spin-off Station 19 at the end of their current seasons
Grey's Anatomy season 19 airs on Thursdays on ABC in the US. The show streams on Disney+ in the UK, where new episodes premiere on Wednesdays.
