“Grey's Anatomy” Star Kevin McKidd and Ex Reach Divorce Settlement Nearly 15 Months After Filing

The actor's ex-wife, Arielle Goldrath, filed for divorce from the in December 2022 and the former couple finalized their divorce in June 2023

Kevin McKidd and his ex-wife Arielle Goldrath McKidd have settled the terms of their divorce.

PEOPLE has obtained a court filing by the Grey's Anatomy star's ex that shows the pair have reached an uncontested written agreement about the separation of their property, child custody and support. (The final papers will be submitted at a later date, pending a judge's signature.)

Goldrath filed for divorce from the actor in December 2022, citing irreconcilable differences as the cause of their split. They finalized their divorce in June 2023.

In her original filing, she requested joint physical and legal custody of their two children: Aiden, 4, and Nava, 3, and requested the couple determine how to split up their assets in mediation. She also asked the courts to restore her original name, Arielle Leigh Goldrath.

McKidd, 50, married Goldrath in November 2017. The pair were married for five years before he announced their separation in July.

"I don't often share my personal life on social media, but today there is something I do want to share with you. A few months ago, Arielle and I decided to end the marriage portion of our relationship," he shared in a lengthy Instagram statement. "We reached this conclusion after much soul searching and discussion. We know it's what is right for both of us."

The Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief actor went on to praise Goldrath for being an "incredible mother" to their children, calling her "one of the wisest, most intelligent and loving people I've ever known."

"It feels good to share this part of my life and let you all know that even with challenges, it is possible to reach happy conclusions if we show up for each other and stay open," he concluded. "Arielle and I will always be there for one another. I hope everyone could be this blessed: to raise their kids with one of your very best friends."

Since their separation, McKidd has been romantically linked to Danielle Savre, who stars in the Grey’s spinoff Station 19. The couple were first spotted together in June 2022, the same month he finalized his divorce from Goldrath.

A few weeks after being seen in Lake Como, Italy, McKidd shared a video of him and Savre, 35, on a safari in Lower Zambezi, a national park on the north bank of the Zambezi River in Africa in June 2023. The Rome actor called the adventure "breathtaking, awe-inspiring, humbling and uplifting."

Last November, McKidd and Savre made their red carpet debut at the Global Down Syndrome Foundation's 15th Annual Be Beautiful Be Yourself Fashion Show in Denver. At the time, McKidd told PEOPLE Monday that his real-life Shonda Rhimes crossover relationship “just kind of happened."

“Everything's great,” McKidd told PEOPLE at the 2023 post-Emmys party in January. “We're really happy and she's an amazing human being, so I feel lucky on many levels in my life right now.”
