GTA 5 trailer for Xbox One and PS4 is predictably awesome

Grand Theft Auto V is due to land on next-gen consoles in a matter of days and the trailer looks amazing

Grand Theft Auto V is finally due to land on the PS4 and Xbox One on 18 November and Rockstar Games has put out a trailer to whet the appetite of keen gamers who are counting down the days.

The next-gen version of the game, set in the fictional city of Los Santos, will introduce enhanced graphics, with finer texture details as well as new weather effects, wildlife and vegetation for a more realistic setting. As the trailer above shows, the results are impressive even on a short video clip.

New vehicles, weapons and collectibles and brand new first person controls are also among the highlights teased by Rockstar.

Gamers will also get to see fan-favourite vehicles from previous generations of the game, while the online mode will support up to 30 players.

The new version will run in full 1080p at 30fps, while the upcoming PC version will also be 4K compatible.



First released for the PS3 and Xbox 360 in 2013, GTA 5 made a record-breaking $1bn in its first three days on sale.

The PC version of the game is due to land on 27 January 2015.
