A man convicted of assaulting a woman in Reading will be sentenced next week.

River Thomas, 20, of Aston Lane, Remenham, was due to appear before Reading Crown Court today (June 25).

However, Recorder Clive Broe instead delayed the sentencing hearing until July 5.

In May, Thomas pleaded guilty to charges of assault by beating and assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

This was in connection with an incident in October 2023, when the defendant attacked a woman in Reading.
