During the first episode of Gladiators series two, fans were "gutted" to find out Nitro wouldn't be taking part in the rest of the series.

After contestants including Nathan from Sunderland and Scott from Leicester had warmed up in the Sheffield Arena, hosts Bradley and Barney Walsh made the announcement.

Shortly after, Nitro appeared to explain his knee injury, prompting viewers to say the "series was ruined."
