Stacey Solomon has told fans she 'means what she says' as she offered an update after admitting her kids were left 'crying their eyes out'. The Loose Women star has taken to social media as she reflected on her recent break with her husband Joe Swash and their young children.

Stacey, 34, and Joe, 42, ditched their gorgeous home, dubbed Pickle Cottage due to Stacey's nickname for her kids, took their children on the trip just days before the Easter holidays came to an end and while Stacey admitted to only being down the road from their Essex abode, she shared how she felt like they were miles away enjoying the beach and the amenities available on the park.

Stacey, who tied the knot with former EastEnders star Joe in 2022, shared some updates from the trip as the couple made the most of their time together alongside Rex, four, Rose, two, and one-year-old Belle before school started again for them on Tuesday (April 15).

But appears the fun was so good the family didn't want to leave the holiday park, which was Haven Kent Coast Holiday Park and cost the family £345, as Stacey revealed she wasn't allowed to go home despite an appearance on This Morning planned for the start of the week.

Filming herself and Joe talking to the camera, the Sort Your Life Out host said on Sunday night (April 14): "We're still in this blooming caravan," before Joe interjected: "The kids won't let us go home." As the couple laughed, Stacey admitted: "Neither will you! I've got to go on This Morning in the morning. I've got work to do!!

Joe commented: "I reckon there's a 75% chance that we're not going to let her go This Morning ," but as Stacey insisted she can't just 'not show up', Joe added: "No we're staying here. We're caravan people now!" As the pair continued to laugh, they revealed it was the kids who didn't want to leave.

Captioning their video, Stacey said: "Being held hostage in the campsite [crying laughing emoji]. They don't want o leave! We were supposed to go home this afternoon but the kids cried their eyes out [crying laughing emoji]. So we are staying one more night and I'm leaving them here while I go to This Morning [crying laughing emoji and a white heart emoji]."

On Monday (April 15), Stacey did leave Joe and their young children behind to appear on the ITV daytime show before officially marking the end of the trip by sharing a string of adorable snaps on Instagram. "Time to say goodbye," she started the caption of her post to her 5.9 million followers.

"The state of us [crying laughing emoji]. I had to bribe our family home from the caravan park today [crying laughing emoji] because it’s back to school tomorrow. There must be some kind of stigma around holiday parks because so many of you messaged saying you couldn’t believe that’s where we’d chosen to go! Honestly I think they’re THE best. I don’t care what anyone says, there’s just something so magical for kids about a holiday park!

"The freedom, fresh air, the giant characters, the stepping into a different world & forgetting all concept of time. It’s special. Everyone is slightly dishevelled, we have no clean clothes left, our hands stink of two p’s [crying laughing emoji] we had a thousand tickets from the arcade that got us some sweets & a sling shot when we cashed them in [crying laughing emoji]. Now it’s time to get us all in the bath, get that washing machine on & get ready for the school runs in the morning."

She also shared the post to her Instagram Story and said: "Finally convinced my family to leave the caravan park [crying laughing emoji]. Honestly, I mean what I say in the caption. And I'm not sure what people think. All I know is the kids LOVE it as much, if not more, than anywhere else in the world and I grew up in those places and still love them so, so much. Gutted Easter break is over but excited to have a tidy house for longer than 5 seconds and some routine back."
