Gwyneth Paltrow shares heartwarming reunion photo

Nothing sums up the spirit of Thanksgiving like a bit of “conscious uncoupling”, does it?

Actress Gwyneth Paltrow has well and truly melted our hearts this morning by sharing a cute photo of ex-hubby Chris Martin’s reunion with their son Moses.

The Sliding Doors star captioned the photo, which shows Chris giving Moses an almighty bear hug: “Here is to reunions, togetherness, family, and love love love. Happy thanksgiving eve, everyone. Love, gp.’

It’s not entirely clear whether Gwyneth, Chris and the kids have reunited to eat pumpkin pie and turkey together at this stage. But the photo does seem to be pretty recent – the Coldplay rocker recently returned to the US following a performance at the Global Citizen Festival in Mumbai.

44-year-old Goop founder Gwyneth and singer Chris divorced back in May after announcing the end of their ten year marriage in March 2014. At the time, Gwyneth coined the much-chuckled-at term “conscious uncoupling” to describe their split. It basically means splitting up without resorting to slagging each other off in the press, as far as we can tell.

“We have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate,” they said in a statement at the time. “We are, however, and always will be a family, and in many ways we are closer than we have ever been.”

“As anybody who has been divorced knows, you have to put a lot aside to maintain the family and the practicalities of what that might mean and sometimes that’s quite tough on a personal level,” Paltrow explained in Cannes a little while later adding, “It’s a commitment I make every day to my children and their father even though we’re not in a romantic relationship.”

Gwyn and Chris have two children together, Moses 10, and Apple, 12. Gwyneth is currently in a relationship with Glee creator Brad Falchuk, while Chris is dating actress Annabelle Wallis.
