Hainault stabbing ‘devastating and appalling,’ says London mayor Sadiq Khan
Mayor of London Sadiq Khan said he was “absolutely devastated” by the attack in Hainault and thanked the emergency services for their response to the incident.
A 14-year-old boy died following multiple stabbings in east London on Tuesday 30 April, where a sword-wielding suspect remains in custody after being tasered by police.
Four other people - two members of the public and two police officers - suffered injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
“This attack is devastating and appalling,” Mr Khan said.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with this young child and his family.”
