Berry played Fred Flintstone’s (John Goodman) seductive secretary, Sharon Stone, in the live-action remake of the 1960s cartoon series.
The real-life Sharon Stone was reportedly supposed to portray the character of the same name, but was unable to due to scheduling conflicts. Berry wound up getting the role instead.
The Cloud Atlas actress said in her video that it was important for there to be a Black character in The Flintstones live-action movie, and realized its impact.
She continued, “While it was silly, and it was over the top and campy, I knew then how important this little part in this big movie actually would be.”

Berry was thrilled to revisit the comedy to celebrate its milestone age, including giving a shout-out to her “iconic” short haircut, which would become her trademark style throughout the 1990s.
“You guys message me every year about The Flintstones film so I thought I’d do something special for the 30th anniversary 🦴 🤍,” she captioned her Instagram video.
