Hapless Edinburgh driver smashes into bus stop and gets 'stuck on bollard'

A car came off a busy road in Edinburgh before smashing into a bus stop and getting stuck on a bollard.

The bus stop was taped off and closed to the public following the incident on Maybury Road in Corstorphine on Friday.

Shocked onlookers noticed the grey Peugeot after it was left at the scene of the crash with blue police tape around it.

A witness took the photo at midday on Friday after he noticed the car, on the busy capital road, in the unusual place.

Police Scotland have been approached for comment.
