Harry Souttar snapped in Rangers retro top after Ibrox transfer link as Leicester City stars toast EPL return

Harry Souttar was linked with a move to Rangers last summer.

Now he's shown his affection for the Ibrox side by sporting a retro kit while celebrating with his Leicester City team-mates. The Australia international - the brother of current Rangers defender John Souttar - suffered a frustrating campaign in the English Championship with just three appearances as the Foxes won the title and bagged a return to the English Premier League. He made one further appearance in the cup taking his total to just four for the campaign.

After falling down the pecking order last summer, he was linked with an exit from Enzo Maresca's side with then boss Michael Beale said to be keen on a deal. However, nothing materialised and he remained at the King Power Stadium and was largely left out of the squad or named as a substitute as the former English Premier League winners secured a return to the riches of the top flight.

Leicester City are on their holidays resting up for the tough pre-season and campaign ahead and a number of their stars have been snapped soaking up the sun as they start recovering and enjoying some much-earned downtime. Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, who was instrumental in their title success with 12 goals and 14 assists in the league, shared a snap of Conor Coady, Harry Winks, Marc Albrighton and Souttar with a background of blue skies, sunshine and a swimming pool. Notably in the image, Souttar can be seen wearing the Light Blues jersey.

It's bound to a be another summer of exit links for the 25-year-old as he bids to return to first-team action. He's a regular on the international stage with Australia and will be determined to get back playing week in, week out.
