The One Direction star who now has a successful solo career, as well as branching out into acting, will be adding children's TV to his list of skills when he appears on the BBC kids' channel.
He is set to read the Bedtime Story on Monday 23 May in its usual timeslot of 6.50pm and will be reading In Every House, on Every Street written by Jess Hitchman and illustrated by Lili la Baleine.
The story is described as a heartwarming celebration of homes and the different families that live in them, and as he introduces the book Styles says: "Tonight’s bedtime story is about a house full of love and laughter."
Styles, 28, recently headlined the Coachella Festival in California and has two films due out this year - Don't Worry Darling and My Policeman.
He is the latest famous story reader in a long line of stars who have read to the CBeebies audience, including EastEnders actor and Strictly Come Dancing winner Rose Ayling-Ellis who recently signed the story for the first time using British Sign Language to mark Deaf Awareness Week.
Ayling-Ellis said: "I am super excited to read my first CBeebies Bedtime Story in British Sign Language and it’s even more wonderful to share a story written by a deaf writer.
"I hope deaf children enjoy the story and it inspires hearing children to want to learn BSL more!"
Other celebrity storytellers have included Reese Witherspoon, Tom Hardy, Kate Middleton, Dave Grohl and Ellie Goulding.
Look out for a sneak preview of Styles' Bedtime Story which will be released closer to the time his episode airs.
CBeebies Bedtime Story airs every weekday at 6.50pm and Styles will be reading on Monday 23 May.
