This was the haul uncovered by police after two 'suspected stolen' motorbikes were abandoned. Greater Manchester Police says its officers attended Lakeland Court, in Middleton, following 'several reports of anti-social behaviour'.

The incidents involved motorbikes, GMP says. As neighbourhood police patrolled the area, two people were seen each dumping a motorbike before fleeing on foot. They also left a bag, containing items including cannabis and a phone.

Following enquiries, GMP confirmed that one of the bikes had been reported as stolen. Officers also seized the second one on suspicion of being stolen.

In a social media post this morning (May 17), GMP confirmed it is now trying to track down the two people involved. A GMP Middleton spokesperson wrote on Facebook: "After several reports of anti-social behaviour involving motorcycles on Lakeland Court, Middleton, local neighbourhood officers attended the scene and found two motorcycles hidden away after two males made off, unfortunately for them they left behind a bag containing pre packaged cannabis, and a popular mobile phone.
