With Netflix anthology series The Haunting of Hill House gearing up for season two, actress Carla Gugino has teased her involvement.

Although nothing is concrete in terms of casting, her recent interview with The Wrap may suggest Hill House will follow in the footsteps of fellow anthology American Horror Story – as opposed to True Detective's cast shake-up each season.

She played Olivia Crain in the debut series, and discussing a potential role within the horror's second series, Gugino said: "I can't say anything definitive at this point, other than Mike [Flanagan] and I really love collaborating and working together.

"Any opportunity where a schedule allows for us to do that, we will, and I would be honoured to."

She added: "We're talking a lot about it and we'll just see if all schedules allow. All I can say is I'm very excited for season 2 and to see what Mike does."

Gugino and Flanagan previously worked together on the Stephen King adaptation Gerald's Game another Netflix Original.

It was revealed back in February that the second season would titled The Haunting of Bly Manor.

Ripped straight from the pages of Henry James' classic novella The Turn of the Screw, this one should be expected to hit the streaming service sometime next year.

The Haunting of Hill House is available on Netflix.
