The brother of a man missing for seven weeks has said his family are in “living hell”. Callum Clement, from Newport, was last seen on Thursday, March 28 at Dolphin Street in the city heading towards George Street Bridge.

Since then there have been no sightings of Callum, aged 27, in person or via CCTV despite Gwent Police’s repeated appeals. “The police are now scaling back,” Callum's brother Conor said of the search for his brother.

“They aren’t stopping, just scaling back.” In a renewed public plea he said: “We are asking you for some help. If you are out walking along the banks of the river Usk, please can we ask you keep an eye out for Callum or any signs of him. "He was last seen wearing a white/light coloured hoodie and jeans. If the tide is high enough and you have a boat on the Usk and are planning to go out or know of anyone with a boat on the Usk, please keep an eye out for him.

“We are heading down a reality we truly thought we would never have to face. We are in a state of limbo and we can’t put into words what this is doing to us. It truly is a living hell and nightmare. Thank you to everyone who is doing what they are doing.”
