Hear from Bronson and LaFrance in May 2 Anchorage mayoral runoff debate
Apr. 24—On the evening of Thursday, May 2, voters can hear from the two candidates in the Anchorage mayoral runoff election on some of the city's top issues, in a debate co-hosted by Alaska Public Media and the Anchorage Daily News.
The live broadcast debate — featuring incumbent Dave Bronson and former Anchorage Assembly chair Suzanne LaFrance — is scheduled for 7 to 8 p.m. May 2. The debate will be moderated by Alaska Public Media News Director Lori Townsend and Anchorage Daily News Opinion Editor Tom Hewitt.
Ballots are scheduled to be mailed to voters April 30. Runoff election day is Tuesday, May 14, and ballots must be postmarked on or before that date to be counted.
Voters may also return completed ballots to secure drop boxes around the municipality, or vote in person at one of the city's voting centers starting May 7.
The debate will be broadcast on Alaska Public Media TV and radio, on ADN.com, on YouTube and on Facebook.
