Heart's Ann Wilson to undergo 'time sensitive' medical procedure

Heart have cancelled their European tour dates so Ann Wilson can undergo a "time sensitive" medical procedure.

The Alone hitmakers announced on Wednesday that they had to scrap the European leg of their Royal Flush Tour to allow Ann, 73, time to recover from the operation.

"We regret to inform you that all upcoming Heart performances in Europe are canceled," reads a statement from the band, which also includes Ann's sister Nancy Wilson.

"In late May, Ann Wilson will undergo a time-sensitive but routine procedure for which the minimum recovery time is six weeks. Heart deeply regrets this unfortunate circumstance and hopes to return to Europe soon."

No further details were disclosed about Ann's procedure, however, the singer assured her concerned followers that they didn't need to worry.

"I'm okay! Please don't worry," she wrote on her own Instagram account. "I do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. It's certainly an inconvenience for me. Love & respect always, Ann."

The Barracuda rockers were due to perform in Europe between 20 June and 12 July.

The band are next scheduled to perform alongside Def Leppard and Journey in Cleveland, Ohio on 30 July, and they have tour dates lined up in North America for the rest of the year.
