WandaVision spin-off series Agatha: Coven of Chaos will apparently "resonate with the queer community".

This insight comes from Joe Locke, who according to Patti LuPone is playing one of Sicilian witch Lilia Calderu's familiars, opposite Aubrey Plaza (The White Lotus), title star Kathryn Hahn and Emma Caulfield Ford.

"Putting your energy into something is never gonna harm a situation. With Marvel, I was very determined to get the part," he told Entertainment Weekly.

"I had never been that determined about anything before, which I think meant that I was putting my energy into it. But I also think I've just been one of the luckiest people in the world in the last two years."

Although the Heartstopper breakout star couldn't divulge anything on his character, Locke did go on to suggest that Agatha will strike a particular chord with LGBTQ+ streamers.

"The show is about misunderstood people and people who are alienated by their society for reasons that they can't control. I think that resonates a lot with the queer community," he said.

"I think there'll be some camp."

Meanwhile, during her appearance on The View this spring, LuPone revealed that she was bringing Marvel Comics sorceress Calderu to life in the series.

"I researched her. She's hot, she's really hot, she's got a great body and hair," teased the actress. "I didn't know there were witches, I didn't know anything about the Marvel world. There are witches in the Marvel world.

"I think it's gonna be fantastic."

WandaVision is streaming on Disney+, while its spin-off Agatha: Coven of Chaos is set to arrive on the platform this winter.
