Heavy Snow Snaps Tree Limbs in Southern Maine

A tree fell in the woods of southern Maine with a security camera watching on Wednesday, March 15, as the National Weather Service (NWS) warned that tree branches could be “prone to snapping” after a nor’easter dumped heavy snow in the area.

Security video posted to Twitter by Rebecca Smith Waddell shows a pine tree giving way under the weight of heavy snow in Waldoboro on Wednesday morning.

Gusty winds were expected to continue into Wednesday night, the NWS said. Credit: @becwaddell via Storyful
