'Hefty' Rain Falls on Central Texas

Parts of central Texas awoke to heavy rain on Wednesday, May 29, with more severe storms looming in the forecast, the National Weather Service (NWS) warned.

Footage taken by Wesley Arrington shows what he called “hefty rain” coming down near Winters, northeast of San Angelo, on Wednesday morning.

Severe weather was forecast to last into Wednesday night for portions of west-central Texas, with large hail and damaging winds possible, the NWS warned. The weather service urged area residents to “remain vigilant.” Credit: Wesley Arrington via Storyful
