Helen Flanagan hospitalised with severe morning sickness
Helen Flanagan has revealed she has been hospitalised with severe morning sickness.
The 30-year-old Coronation Street actress, who is pregnant for the third time, said she had suffered from hyperemesis gravidarum, the correct medical term for morning sickness, with her previous pregnancies, but that this was “on another level”.
Flanagan is mother to daughters Matilda, 5, and Delilah, 2, with fiance Scott Sinclair.
The actress shared a picture of Matilda holding a picture that said “I hope you... better” on Instagram.

The Corrie star shared: “I’ve been a lot quieter on my social recently as I’ve had hyperemis gravidum. I had this with both girls but this time was on another level. I am so relieved to be over the worst and so very happy and so grateful for my baby.
“My mum has just been the best and I have no idea how I would have got through it without her! Scott’s been amazing with the girls and the nurses at the Royal Bolton Hospital were so lovely which I’m so grateful for. I just can’t wait to meet my little one so in love with them already.
“I’m going to film an IGTV on hyperemis soon and any other mummy’s to be with hyperemis I feel you.”
She also shared a snap of herself lying in a hospital bed holding an ultrasound scan.
Hyperemesis gravidarum is a complication in pregnancy causing severe nausea, weight loss dehydration and fainting. Some women have it throughout their pregnancy and have to adhere to strict bed rest.
Flanagan only recently announced that she was expecting her third child.
Sharing a picture of herself and Sinclair with their daughters holding ultrasound images of the new baby she wrote: “Our 3rd baby arriving March 2021 .”
Flanagan previously opened up about her morning sickness to OK! magazine in 2018, saying: “I have just been really poorly.
“I couldn’t go into work and do any filming. I had hyperemesis gravidarum, it lasted for five weeks. It doesn’t sound like a long time but I was just so ill.

“Luckily it cleared up at 10 weeks. I know some women have a horrific time and end up in the hospital for nine months, so I was lucky, but it was horrendous.”
Flanagan started dating footballer Sinclair, 31, in 2009 and they became engaged in 2018.
Flanagan took over the role of Rosie Webster in Coronation Street in 2000. She left the soap in 2012, but returned again in 2017 before leaving to have Delilah in 2018.
She took part in I’m A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! in 2012, coming seventh.
