Herefordshire shop unexpectedly closes its doors

A Herefordshire baguette shop has announced its closure after mere months of business on the High Street.

The Facebook post from Ross-on-Wye’s latest addition to the city's eateries, a spokesperson for Rose Baguettes, said they had closed their doors to customers on June 24. The baguette business attributed its closure to a lack a passing trade.

Located at 43 High Street in Ross, the shop was previously the home of children and babies’ clothing and gift shop ‘Little Saplings’. The shop’s eclectic history goes back even further, as it was home to ‘Waterfall Antiques’ before both of its most recent uses.

In their announcement, the owners said they wanted to take this opportunity to thank the customers who did play a part in supporting the business.

“For those few people, you are appreciated more than you know,” said the announcement post.

“We always looked forward to seeing you again and when you came in you made us smile with your positivity about our little shop.

“We are pleased you enjoyed your experience because we enjoyed having you around.”
