Holly Willoughby has ruled herself out of hosting the revival of Blind Date - but she's got a pretty good reason why.

The legendary dating show fronted by the late Cilla Black is of course coming back to screens, and chances are it could even return by the end of the year.

But speaking to Digital Spy on the red carpet at Wednesday's Brit Awards, presenting royalty Holly revealed why she won't be involved with the new-look series.

"It's on Channel 5, isn't it? I'm ITV," she told us, explaining that she's "exclusive" and "handcuffed" to her channel.

Ah well. There goes that dream...

Still, one person celebrating the news that Holly can't sign up for Blind Date's comeback is none other than ex-Jungle Queen Vicky Pattison.

Vicky seems to be the frontrunner to host the show, even if she claimed earlier this week that she knew nothing about the reports.

"I'm as thrown by the rumours as everyone else," she told Heat magazine. "I've got 30 WhatsApp messages all like, 'Congrats'. I can't bring myself to reply, because what can I say? I've not got the job, it's embarrassing.

"Fingers crossed!"

Still, in case Vicky isn't hosting, Olly Murs, Georgia May Foote and Coronation Street star Helen Flanagan have also been rumoured as possible presenters. Heck, so has Kylie Minogue.

But whoever ends up as the new Cilla Black, here's one thing we do know - Blind Date will air on Friday nights on Channel 5.
