High Winds Strike Beach in Japan As Typhoon Lan Makes Landfall

High winds and heavy rainfall hit parts of central Japan on Monday, October 23, as Typhoon Lan continued its course across the country.

This video shared by resident Erik Oskamp on YouTube shows the wind and rain lashing Onjuku beach, a fishing town popular with holidaymakers that is situated about 60 miles (100 kilometers) southeast of Tokyo. At least two people have died after the typhoon hit the country over the weekend, according to Kyodo News.
