Hikers Enjoy Fresh Snowpack While Trudging Along Tennessee Trails

Hikers enjoyed up to a foot of fresh snowfall while trudging along trails on Roan Mountain in Tennessee’s Cherokee National Forest on Sunday, January 17.

A winter weather advisory was in effect on the Sunday for elevations higher than 3,500 feet, the National Weather Service said. Sunny skies and average mid-January weather was forecast for the rest of the day.
