Aberdeen’s historic Bon Accord Baths are to host two free concerts this weekend.

The event is part of a collaboration between the University of Aberdeen Chamber Choir and Bon Accord Heritage, with the choir set to perform twice on Saturday (June 22).

They will be singing around the shallow end of the pool and the audience will have a choice of cafe seating or sitting in the historic spectator deck whilst enjoying the performance and amazing acoustics of the large art deco pool hall.

A volunteer-led local charity, Bon Accord Heritage are working on long term plans to restore and regenerate the historic listed Bon Accord Baths as an important art-deco community leisure facility.

And they say events such as this allow the local community the opportunity to re-experience the building and its significance as part of our city centre, addin that they are “delighted that the UOA choir have chosen to work with us and perform in the building”.
