Holby City fans celebrate as popular character returns

Holby City fans rejoiced as Jac Naylor made a surprise return this evening (July 27).

Ever since last week's episode, the mystery surrounding Henrik Hanssen's replacement as NHS Improvement Director has boggled the mind of many soap viewers, but it's now been put to bed.

"You, you're the new Improvement Director... I thought that you were finished with Holby?" questioned a stunned Henrik in an early scene.

Jac explained: "I couldn't resist the chance to fix everything we both know is wrong with this place."

In case you're wondering, Digital Spy can confirm that her reintroduction is a permanent one, which means the last seven months of actress Rosie Marcel's hiatus are at an end.
