Holly Willoughby has been frequently 'breaking down in tears' due to a significant career 'regret'. Holly left her role on This Morning last October after a 14-year stint on the ITV programme.

The mother of three, 43, revealed that she was stepping back from the show to safeguard her family following a frightening kidnap threat. Since then, Holly has prioritised her three children, Harry, 14, Belle, 12, and Chester, 8, as well as her husband, Dan Baldwin.

There was much speculation and uncertainty about whether she would return to Dancing On Ice in January after taking a break from the spotlight just three months earlier. However, Holly made her comeback to the ITV competition, co-hosting with Stephen Mulhern after Phillip Schofield's exit from the show following revelations of his affair with a younger male colleague at ITV.

After a turbulent 2023, Holly is now firmly back in action and preparing for a career shift with a brand-new Netflix show, Bear Hunt, which she will be presenting alongside survival expert, Bear Grylls. The show will commence filming in Central America next month, and Holly is reportedly having second thoughts due to fears of leaving her family.

The Netflix show, predicted to make Holly an international star, will be an I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here-style format, where celebrities try to outdo survival expert Bear, reports the Mirror.

Holly is reportedly both excited and anxious about her new venture into television, which will see her filming far from home. A source disclosed to Heat: "Of course Holly is thrilled about the new show but it's also been a bit heartbreaking because she's realised it's not really feasible to take the kids out of school and bring them with her.

"She's going to FaceTime them as much as possible, but she also knows that Netflix expect a lot, so she can't be disappearing to take long family calls whenever she feels like it. She's quite upset thinking about it."

Despite the opportunity with Netflix to become an international sensation, Holly is said to be struggling with the decision due to separation from her family. The insider continued, revealing that Holly often finds herself in tears at the thought of being away from her children for an extended period: "In some ways, she regrets signing up for the show as she knows she's going to miss them so much, but she's just trying to be brave and go with it."

A source revealed to The Sun that Holly has received "many offers" from UK networks following her departure from This Morning, with the Netflix deal being a "no brainer". Holly is reportedly looking to "to go into the next league" and believes she could be "on to a winner" with her new show.

This development comes after the TV star enlisted the services of David Beckham's former PR expert, Caroline McAteer, to help take her brand global.

Holly's representatives have been contacted for a statement regarding this news.
