Hollyoaks’ Abe lashes out at Cleo in disturbing scene

Hollyoaks spoilers follow for Wednesday's episode from Channel 4 streaming, which airs tomorrow night on E4.

Hollyoaks' Cleo McQueen has seen more of Abe Fielding's dark side tonight (March 20), as the soap aired a disturbing scene.

Following the revelation that Abe had never told her about his missing brother Arlo, Cleo confided in Joel Dexter that she feels hurt about how he didn't tell her about the situation (not that she knows the full extent of it, which is that he isn't missing at all).

"Why don't you just slow things down a bit? You don't want something like this to ruin your love story, do you?" said Joel, but Cleo responded that it's a bit too late to do that as the couple have moved in together.

Joel went to Abe to try and extend an olive branch, but as soon as he mentioned speaking to Cleo, Abe walked out.

At the end of the episode, Abe came home, and it didn't take long for things to get heated between himself and Cleo.

"Who are you to question me about trust, when you go running to your ex anytime something happens in our relationship?" he shouted as he picked up a vase and threw it at the wall in a rage, smashing it in the process.

Elsewhere in the episode, Leela Lomax tried to get Joel to talk to his dad, Warren Fox, to get him to leave Ste Hay alone. He didn't get through to him on an emotional level, but threatened to go the police if anything else happens.

Hollyoaks streams first online via Channel 4 each weekday at 7.30pm. Episodes then air on E4 the following day, before getting their YouTube premiere a week after that.

Selected omnibus episodes are available via Prime Video.
